Oyo East LG Caretaker Chairman,
Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi has taken delivery of a fire truck procured by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde @seyi_amakinde.
It would be recalled that after the unfortunate Akesan market fire incidence, the Governor assured that he would provide the locals with a fire truck after the former one was vandalized by some irate youths, and true to his word, that promise has been fulfilled.
Apreciating the Governor’s kind gesture, Arowosaye said “on behalf of the good people of Oyo East local government, I thank His Excellency for his responsiveness and commitment towards the wellbeing of our people and their properties”.
“In the meantime, our administration will focus on rebuilding the fire station destroyed by the irate youths and make it fully operational while the new fire truck will be operating from a temporary station. I call on everyone of us to see the new fire truck as our collective responsibility as it is meant to serve all of us”, he concluded.
