The Vice-Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Peter Obi, says the experience of the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, will compensate for what he lacks due to his old age.

Obi said this at an event titled, ‘The Candidate’, in Abuja on Wednesday.

The moderator, Kadariah Ahmed, asked Obi whether he had changed his mind about the inability of old persons to effectively govern.

Obi had some years ago urged older Nigerians to make way for the younger generation.

He, however, said Nigeria had retrogressed hence concessions could be made for persons like Atiku

Obi said, “You are talking of age but I am looking at experience; the cumulative experience of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a unifier that can bring Nigeria together and I will support him considering the age difference.”
