Alli produces a lovely turn to evade two Bournemouth defenders and thumps an effort at goal, but Travers gets across well to keep it out!

33′ CHANCE! Alli’s header saved

Travers continues to impress on his debut as Rose picks out Alli in the box with a sumptuous cross, but the midfielder’s powerful header just under the bar is tipped over by a diving Travers! Outstanding save!

34′ Bournemouth call for Dier to be sent off but ref waves play on

Dier goes diving into another challenge and gets none of the ball. Bournemouth want to see a second yellow card for the midfielder, however, the referee deems it a fair challenge and Spurs play on, with Son whipping a cross towards Alli at the back post, but he’s crowded out and has to play it back for Eriksen and Lucas, whose speculative efforts are blocked.

42′ Bournemouth’s penalty appeal not given!

Wilson goes down in the box and Dier, in trying to clear the ball as an attack came down the left, kicks through the back of the Cherries striker’s legs! However, the referee doesn’t spot it and waves play on! Dier is lucky not to have conceded a penalty and be sent off!

43′ Red Card! Son sent off for kicking & pushing an opponent

Fraser fouls him but Lerma comes in late after the whistle has gone and tries to nick the ball. He’s furious and shoves the Bournemouth midfielder to the ground, and is shown a straight red card! Spurs down to 10 men!

45′ CHANCE! Simpson’s header saved

Ake’s header is blocked and goes out for a corner, and Simpson meets the second delivery well, but it’s held well by Lloris in the centre of the goal!

48′ Red Card! Foyth sent off

Substitute Foyth has barely been on the field and, after a heavy touch, he slides in with his studs up into Simpson’s knee! Another rush of blood to the head sees Spurs down to nine men at the start of the second half!

91′ GOAL! Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham (Ake)

Bournemouth finally take the lead against the nine men of Tottenham!! Fraser whips another excellent cross into the box and Ake drifts to the back post to power a header into the back of the net! It’s 1-0 to Bournemouth!
