The Oyo State Commissioner of police, Shina Olukolu has warned members of the NURTW in the state to shelve their plan to violently take over parks and garages in the State.
He implored the NURTW members to follow the laid down rules and regulations governing their association.
The Commissioner of police gave this warning when he paid a courtesy visit to all the royal fathers in Ogbomoso on Thursday.
However, the Commissioner of police also visited LAUTECH, where he and the management reviewed the security challenges of the institution and the possible solutions to them.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof Michael Olufisayo Ologunde in his welcome address commended the Nigeria Police Force, Ogbomoso Area Commander for their timely interventions to the school’s security challenges.
He said the School is already discussing ways to bring in professional and sophisticated security personnel into the school.
The CP charged the parents to talk to their children before leaving homes to always be on top of their behaviour while on campus or anywhere.
The CP and his entourage were received by the school’s VC, Prof Michael Olufisayo Ologunde, School Registrar, Dr Kayode Ogunleye, Bursar, Mr Abayomi Abiodun Okediji and the Librarian, Mrs Modupe Aboyade.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of police later held a meeting with PCRC members where he resounded his warning that NPF will not allow anybody irrespective of their personality in the society to foment trouble.
However, the CP expressed happiness over the cordial relationship existing between the police and the people of Ogbomoso.
Amongst those in the Commissioner of police entourage were, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kehinde Longe (operation), Assistant Commissioner of Police, Gabriel Akoh ( CID), Area Commander of Ogbomoso, Aboki Danjuma and others.
