…TOWARDS ONGOING ELECTRICITY PROJECTS IN OYO
Oyo Descendant Union in the United Kingdom has donated the sum of one million naira towards the ongoing electrification project in Oyo town.
It was a joy at the residence of the Chairman, Oyo Metro Development Association (OMDA) His eminent Archbishop Peter Oladigbolu, when a prominent and distinguished Oyo indigenes and elder, based in London Alh. (Sheik) Hamzat Adesanu who happens to be one of the founders and former President of OYO Descendants Union in United kingdom, in company of respected Princes of Oyo kingdom Prince Akinade Adeyemi, Prince Majeed Ladigbolu Okobiiya and Alhaji Prince Kola Kadewolu Adeyemi who is also BOT Chairman of Anti- Corruption Awareness Organization (ACAON) and representative of ODU in Nigeria stormed the residence on behalf of OyO Descendants living in London presented a donation of One Million (1,000 000) Naira towards the ongoing Electricity projects in Odunewu Oyo with pledges that more supports are underway soon.

ALHAJI SHEU HAMZAT ADESANU praised the entire members of the Union for their unrelenting moral and financial contributions towards Oyo development.
He commended and praised the Union Executives headed by His eminent Archbishop Peter Oladigbolu, and also thanked Alhaji Prince Ajibola Afonja Chairman founder I D S group of the Companies for supporting the Chairman and entire Union morally and financially despite his daily tight schedules of programs.

Developments Association chairman, Prince Ajibola Afonja while receiving the Drafts of the Sums of (1,000,000) Naira appreciated the donors, Oyo Descendants Union (ODU) members for their kind gestures and their displayed of patriotism to their fatherland and thanked the International Leader Alhaji SHEU HAMZAT ADESANU for the presentation as he assured him of judicious use of the money.
Prince Ajibola Afonja however informed the visitors headed by Alhaji SHEU HAMZAT ADESANU that second phase of the projects shall soon commence with a view to generate at least Eight( 8) hours of power energy transmissions daily in Oyo and its environs without interruption. The electrification project is estimated already to cost one hundred and fifty million (150, 000,000,000) Naira.
He therefore appealed for more improved contribution from the Association as well as individuals in the Union. Alhaji SHEU HAMZAT ADESANU reteirated his pledge as he promises to convey the messages.
The presentation brought to a close at about past 1 pm with prayers from Archbishop Oladigbolu peter.
