“Alaafin Owoade’s body language is a powerful tool in cultivating an enigmatic presence. When he walks in, his posture, eye contact, and facial expressions can speak volumes about his self-assurance and confidence. He maintains steady, calm eye contact but avoid staring. He speaks slowly and deliberately, avoiding rushed gestures. His presence projects a sense of control, making others naturally drawn to him, yet unsure of exactly what he is thinking”.
His Imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, Alaafin, Paramount Ruler of Oyo Kingdom and the Superior Head of Yorubaland, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1, has not for once, since ascended the throne of his forefathers considered himself a bit of an Enigma, and a puzzle wrapped in layers of transparency.
But working conscientiously on how best to accomplish the arduous task of improving socio- economic lives of the people of his Kingdom, develop infrastructures, transform the ancient City and its environs into an industrial hub, salvage the Yorubaland from the web of disunity, acrimony and to foster the much needed progress and development
Though the people are glad and satisfied to have Alaafin Abimbola Owoade as their Paramount Ruler, but still curious to know more about him, as they perceive Iku Baba Yeye as being Enigmatic, Charismatic and Confident in actualising his desired vision and mission for them.

My immediate reaction to this curiousity among the peace- loving people in the City and beyond is a combination of amusement and intrigue. There are, indeed, some aspects of Kabiyesi’s life that he has kept closely guarded.
In a world where everyone seems eager to share every detail of their lives, being an enigma—a person of intrigue and mystery—can be an enticing and refreshing trait.
It’s not about being secretive or manipulative but about cultivating a sense of depth and unpredictability that draws others in.
One of the most interesting aspects of being Kabiyesi iis learning when to speak and when to remain silent. It’s easy to fall into the trap of oversharing, but keeping certain details about your adminstration to yourself can create an air of mystery.
In conversations, he resists the urge to explain yourself fully. Instead of giving a straightforward answer, offer something more thought-provoking that leaves room for interpretation.

For instance, as a conscientious and pragmatic Paramount Ruler, Oba Owoade reveals a more humorous or playful side.
He surprises people with moments of deep vulnerability. He is doing this in a way that feels authentic, rather than intentionally trying to confuse people.
His administration isn’t about being shallow or hard to understand, but about having layers to his personality that others want to explore. He cultivates a range of interests and skills that make him multifaceted.
The more complex you are, the more people will want to uncover the different layers of your personality, hence Oba Owoade is selective about what he reveals and when, thus holding his cards close to his chest, leaving others wondering what’s going on beneath the surface.
As an excellent conversationalist , he does not talk the most, but listens intently and thoughtfully.
When others talk, lku Baba Yeye listens carefully, ask open-ended questions, and make them feel heard.

This approach shifts the focus away from him while allowing him to maintain a sense of mystery. Whenever Oba Owoade speaks, he ensures his words are thoughtful and impactful, leaving others eager to learn more about his perspective.
