One of the houses of Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho in Soka, Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, has been razed by suspected arsonists, according to a breaking news by The Nation.
One of the neighbours who pleaded to speak under the condition of anonymity to Naijatoday.com that there were sporadic shootings to scare people while the dastardly act was in progress, adding that countless bullets were found when they woke up this morning.
Videos emerged on social media showed that the greater proportion of the house got burnt despite the efforts of nearby people who offered to extinguish the fire before the arrival of the fire fightets .
The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of today, Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Details were not immediately available.
It has been reported that Igboho recently came to the limelight when he issued a quit notice to Fulani herdsmen in the Ibarapa area of the state, accusing them of being behind a spate of kidnappings, rapes and murders.

He has vowed to take the campaign, which has stoked tension across the country, to other parts of Yoruba land.
